The reason for the MSM meltdown is simple: the MSM are not staffed by journalists.  Where conservative sources have been politically involved from inception, the bulk of the MSM deal in pure sensationalism.  They don't have actual political opinions, and they aren't qualified to form them.  They function purely on desire for profit, not news.  This is why they were hired, and this what they do – very well. This is also the reason for the current conflict between journalists and the MSM.  We expect logical discourse, but they are unarmed and thus nervous.  We raise issues, and they respond with wild accusations and half-truths.  Millions are aghast at the utterly illogical diatribes passed off as "news" today, but you must understand that this is all the MSM have in their arsenal.
