Hillary's not liberal enough?

According to an article in today's Wall Street Journal, the left wing of the Democrat Party is not happy about the fact that Hillary is virtually unchallenged for the party's presidential nomination.  Apparently "some Democrats think she isn't liberal enough." The opinion is based primarily on two issues: "her ties to Wall Street and Bill Clinton's centrist economic record."  The article goes on to describe in general terms how leftist Democrats "don’t like that she appears more comfortable with bipartisan compromise than populist calls to fight banks and other business interests[.]" Then, while attempting to assess whether the charge is legitimate, the article points out that "[a]s a U.S. senator from 2001 until 2009 and as a presidential candidate in 2007 and 2008, she called for universal prekindergarten, equal pay for women, increases in the minimum wage, paid family leave, higher taxes on the wealthy and an...(Read Full Post)
