Truth, or consequences?
What is truth?
Let’s start with what it isn’t. The truth isn’t “diverse.” (Sorry progressives.)
It is not necessarily equitable…or even inclusive.
The truth is not “trans.”
Nor is it fungible. It isn’t a 'living' document that changes over time.
It is sometimes difficult to find the truth, usually because humans have obscured it with detritus, dressed it up in drag, or attempted to hide it amidst falsities. Yet, at other times it is-- or should be—perfectly obvious.
But truth is real. Truth is absolute, divine, objective, singular, authoritative, and immutable.
Here are some truths about truth, as stated by some remarkable men:
Teddy Roosevelt: “To anger a conservative, lie to him. To anger a liberal, tell him the truth.”

Martin Luther King: “The day we see the truth and cease to speak is the day we begin to die.”
George Orwell: “In a time of deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.”
Orwell: “The more a society drifts from the truth, the more it will hate those that speak it.”
Orwell: “The very concept of objective truth is fading out of the world. Lies will pass into history.”
We are constantly being told lies. By the elites that make—and enforce-- the rules. By the “experts.” By “scientists” like Dr. Fauci. And, most disturbing of all, by those in our intelligence agencies and at the highest levels of government. We are being force-fed misinformation, disinformation, and outright “fake news” by our mainstream and social media outlets. Most of us sense this, feel this, know this.
“Truth, justice, and the American Way” was not only a comic book phrase in days of yore, it was a blueprint for our society. But now it seems that the American way has gone by the wayside, and justice has been perverted. It has often been said that “the truth will set you free.” But now the truth can get you “cancelled,” perhaps even imprisoned.
And yet, we have been tasked by our Creator to seek the truth. So what are we to do?
Seek the truth. Tell the truth. No matter the consequences.
For, as Martin Luther King said, “The day we see the truth and cease to speak is the day we begin to die.”
The truth has never been more needed than now.
