Pelosi: Pretense, posturing, perfidy, and pens
Has there ever been a more disingenuous person in politics than Nancy Pelosi? Of course, there have been many phony, hypocritical politicians over the course of American history, but there are few who have quite risen to the appalling behavior of Speaker Pelosi (or Adam Schiff). Even as she visibly declines mentally — she can barely utter a coherent sentence — her party continues to pretend she is not only relevant, but lucid, a master strategist.
Like many of her colleagues, the speaker has been determined to see President Trump impeached since he was elected. That is all she has concentrated on for three years. As her own city morphs into third-world status, beset by homelessness, lawlessness, opioid addiction, and public defecation and urination, she has done nothing but try to find a way to impeach the most successful president in U.S. history. She is not a sane person. She does not care about San Francisco or the nation. She is just nursing a nasty, intolerant grudge.
There is not a person on the planet who buys her "prayerful" act, or her oh, so solemn "historic" nonsense. There is probably not one Democrat who takes her act seriously; they are just happy to see the president have to endure more specious assaults on his presidency. They all surely know that Trump will not be removed from office. Yet he is the most investigated president in U.S. history.
Had the Clintons or Obama experienced even a glimmer of the investigative power of the federal government shone upon them, they would all be in prison. Their crimes — electoral, financial and political — were legion. It will take a generation of new historians to unravel all their crimes committed during their terms in office and their devious attempts to overturn an election.
That is what impeaching Trump is all about: a massive cover-up of their own get-rich schemes while in office. The Mueller "probe" was certainly an attempted cover-up of the convoluted plan to take Trump out of the race before the election and then, after the election, the continued attempts to destroy his presidency. Perhaps Peter Schweizer's new book, Profiles in Corruption, due out in a week, will explain the Democrats' mounting hysteria. The Clintons, the Pelosi family, the Obamas, the Feinsteins, et al. have all become fabulously wealthy — multimillionaires while in office or soon thereafter. Trump, on the other hand, has lost wealth since he became president.
This impeachment farce is just that: a farce. The House Democrats have nothing! Their articles are all pretense without a shred of substance. Pelosi, Schiff, and Nadler conducted the most unfair, unconstitutional "inquiry" in history, and everyone knows that. When you deny the subject of impeachment any means of self-defense, any witnesses on his behalf, when you fail to release the transcripts of all the witnesses who were questioned, you have what Trump has rightly called a witch hunt, a Kafkaesque railroading of an innocent man.
Now that the Senate has the articles, a trial will ensue. Let us hope Leader McConnell lives up to his reputation and keeps a firm constitutional hand on the process. Shame on the few Republicans who are using the impeachment as a vehicle to win the praise of Democrats and their media handmaidens. Mitt Romney and his fellow turncoats, if they keep up their charade, will all lose their next elections. The American people are not nearly as ignorant as they think we are. Who among us wants to see this president removed from office? All those people who were unemployed under Obama who now have jobs? Those folks no longer on food stamps? The millions who have 401(k)s that have grown from the massive success of the stock market? The millions who will reap the benefits from the USMCA and China trade deal? The lives saved by the extermination of mass murderer Soleimani? The Israelis, who finally have a president who supports their tiny beleaguered nation? No. All of those people revere the man.
And how about the thousands of Americans who show up to Trump's rallies when Biden, Bloomberg, and the rest of the Dem candidates have trouble filling a living room? The remaining candidates and their fellow wannabe presidents are all on board for impeachment, and it's not helping them. Not one of them can beat Trump in November.
And how about all those senators running for president who just vowed to be "objective"? Does anyone believe that? This entire three-year odyssey of the Left will be remembered as the most treasonous slow-motion event is our history.
Nancy Pelosi's record will be justly eviscerated by future historians for her leadership role in the hoax. Adam Schiff will be remembered by historians for his blatant abrogation of nearly all constitutional dictates that the founders laid out regarding impeachment and for his pathological lies and his maniacal crusade to unseat a duly elected President. He is his district's cross to bear.
The final nail in the coffin of Peloisi's reputation to date is her using a platter full of pens imprinted with her signature with which she signed the two stupid articles of impeachment.
YouTube screen grab.
She then passed them out like party favors. This woman has no class, no grace. She is a blight on her district, the House of Representatives and our country. Her inscribed pens certainly belie her pretense that the moment was "prayerful" and "historic." It is all a cheap, contemptible exercise in futility. Her legacy will be forever tainted by her mendacious participation in the worst political scandal in American history.
