America: Much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving
Gratitude (aka thankfulness) attracts more blessings to you. I am extremely thankful this Thanksgiving. First and foremost, I am thankful for my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I am thankful for my lovely wife of 39 years who still loves, honors, respects, and likes me. I am thankful that I can still phone my 88-year-old preacher dad and enjoy his humor and gold nuggets of wisdom.
Serendipity is a gift you receive while in pursuit of something else. While performing at the Nevada Women's Expo, I met a muscular older guy on the elevator. He informed me of a supplement he takes 30 minutes before workouts. That supplement has me back in the gym, lifting weights the way I did ten years ago. Thank you, God!
I am thankful for my loving relationship with our son and daughter, who are both solid, responsible adults. I am thankful for the handful of longtime friendships that have endured the test of time.
I am extremely thankful that the election of Trump proved we have not lost America to liberalism. The left had many of us, including me, fooled. I felt like that guy in the Bible who thought he was all alone. He thought everyone was worshiping false gods except him. God assured him that many had not succumbed to worshiping idols. We who love our country and desperately long to see her made great again are still the majority. Praise God!
I was taken aback by the left's over-the-top insane reaction to We the People electing Trump, much of which had me laughing hysterically. Then I thought, “Oh my gosh – what a job the left has done on these Americans who drank their liberal poisonous Kool-Aid.” I have heard leftists expressing a broad range of absurd fears, including blacks who sincerely believe that Trump plans to round us up and send us back to Africa.
I thank God that Trump's landslide victory confirms that the left's best efforts to transform us into a nation of walking dead America-hating leftist zombies failed big time. Thank you, God!
I thank God for the millions of Americans who realized the urgency of this election, the millions who prayed for our country.
And last, but not least, I am overwhelmingly thankful that I will not have to turn on my TV, enduring four years of wicked and crooked president Hillary Rodham Clinton. Yes, my fellow Americans, we truly have much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving.
Have a Happy and blessed Thanksgiving, folks.
