DNC campaign bus caught dumping human waste in storm drain

A bus touring Georgia belonging to the Democratic National Committee was caught dumping raw sewage – including human waste into a storm drain outside Lawrenceville.

A nearby businessman snapped some cell phone photos and called police.  When officers arrived, they found toilet paper littering the scene and a "foul smell" emanating from the drain.

A hazmat team was called in, and the Georgia EPA is investigating.

The Hill:

WSB-TV 2 News added that an employee at O’Reilly Auto Parts along Grayson Highway also observed someone from the bus dumping raw sewage nearby.

Gwinnett County hazmat units have since cleaned up the mess, and CBS 46 News reported that the Gwinnett County Stormwater Management and the State Environment Protection Department are now involved in the investigation.

The DNC apologized for the incident on Tuesday.

“This was an honest mistake and we apologize to the Lawrenceville community for any harm we may have caused,” a DNC spokesperson told WSB-TV 2 News.

“We were unaware of any possible violations and have already taken corrective action with the charter bus company to prevent this from happening again," they added.

“Furthermore, the DNC will work with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, as well as local and state officials to determine the best course of corrective action.”

Clinton’s campaign is pushing hard in traditionally red states such as Georgia with less than a month to go until Election Day.

The person who wrote that statement should try his hand at comedy writing.  Using the word "honest" in any connection whatsoever with Hillary Clinton is a knee-slapper.  And how can you possibly claim to be unaware of a law that prevents dumping crap into a drain that will empty into bodies of water?

"The Man Who Knew Too Little"?  Try again, guys.

This story is a perfect metaphor for the 2016 presidential campaign: lies, stupidity, and towering hypocrisy.  In this case, the reverence the Clinton campaign supposedly holds for the environment was washed away in a flood of human waste.

What the bus was dumping down a storm drain is what the candidates have been dumping on the heads of voters for the last year.
