Whose State Department is that?
Hillary was having her “own way” with the office of secretary of state. Sure, she set the record for countries visited and miles traveled. She also set the record for money dumped into a foundation controlled by a secretary of state. Well done, Madam Secretary, well done. All this certainly is not a surprise to the president.
They spoke, they communicated via email and BlackBerry, and her people spoke to his people. Does Cheryl Mills know Valerie Jarrett? Guessing yes.
There is an old saying in Washington, D.C.: everyone has something on everyone. So one might be led to the conjecture that perhaps Hillary has a little something on Barack Obama. After all, she dug deep into his past when she ran against him in the presidential election, pulled out all the stops, and some say she was the “original” birther. But that is neither here nor there. What is clear is that either Obama, and his people, was completely ignorant of Hillary and Bill’s antics or he turned his head and a blind eye. The latter is more likely.
So Hillary and Bill go into the corner, parrying accusations and slipping into their typical defense, “we must make sure this never happens again” and “we must look forward not backward” and “at what point does this matter?”
However, the deeper question is why Obama allowed this behavior. The secretary of state position was offered to Hillary after a nasty campaign. Curious enough. But the blind eye treatment amps up the suspicions. What does Hillary have on Mr. Obama?
