Yesterday, August 15, Trump gave a speech in Youngstown, Ohio that clearly set forth how to deal with radical Muslim terrorism.

Trump gave a broad outline that we must work with other countries who wish to destroy terrorism.  This includes Russia, which has problems with Muslim terrorists on its southern border.  It also includes China, which has problems with Muslim terrorists on its western border.  Just about every country that borders a Muslim country has problems with Muslim terrorism.

This is what FDR did in WWII to ally with the Soviet Union to defeat Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan.  He also stressed that we work with Muslim countries like Jordan and Egypt that are trying to fight terrorism in their countries.  He also called on moderate Muslims to defeat the radical Muslim terrorists.

Trump said we have to vet all immigrants, especially those from countries with a history of radical Muslim terrorism, and suspend immigration from some of those countries during the war on terrorism.

Again, this is similar to FDR’s policy to suspend immigration from Germany, Italy, and Japan during WWII.  FDR also temporarily suspended naturalization of Germans and Italians in our country.

But the most important aspect is that Trump clearly stated the enemy as radical Muslim terrorism.  He listed the terrorist acts committed by Muslim terrorists.  And he said we will fight and defeat radical Muslim terrorists.  This is refreshing after years of first Bush and then Obama lecturing us that Islam is a religion of peace and refusing to use the word “Muslim” to identify the terrorists.  We were told by Obama that some attacks weren't terrorist attacks.  He described them as "workplace violence," random acts, and the "J.V. team."  Worse, Obama used the terrorist attacks to propose disarming peaceful Americans to weaken our Second Amendment rights.

Finally, we have Trump, who has boldly identified the enemy and challenged the country and world to unite to defeat radical Muslim terrorism.  Trump has shown a positive winning attitude to fight this war, which will help save the lives of Muslims as well as non-Muslims.
