Pope Francis's 'New Humanity': Criminal, not Christful

Pope Francis emphasizes the right of people to transgress national borders at will.  He has tried to associate the mass violation of borders with what has been called the new humanity.  The pope generally avoids reference to Christ, but he seems to vaguely associate the new humanity with the promised overthrow of evil and the establishment of God's reign on earth.

Speaking to a group of over one million young people at the World Youth Day gathering on July 31, the pope said, "People may judge you to be dreamers, because you believe in a new humanity, one that rejects hatred between peoples, one that refuses to see borders as barriers and can cherish its own traditions without being self-centered or small-minded."

The pope does not seem to urge readying for the God-Man who alone can establish a new humanity.  He preaches the humanist construct of "follow your dreams."  Everyone gets a prize – not for doing, but for dreaming.

In actuality, Pope Francis promotes the right to ditch one's own people and invade the wealthiest nations because, as the bank robber said, "That's where the money is."  By telling young people they should "not use borders as roadblocks," and not because of famine, but to find better buttered bread, Pope Francis is justifying criminality, not Christfulness.

Every entity needs a boundary in order to exist: a skin, a wall, a border.  The transgression of a boundary is a momentary means to an ongoing, unjust seizure.  When someone breaks into a house, that is just the beginning of his crime.  The purpose of the intrusion is for the thief to take everything he can as quickly as possible.  When people steal into a country, they make no commitment to anybody but themselves.  The cognitive dissonance of criminality – that is, an overwhelming psychological need to feel justified – itself precludes gratitude.  It behooves the invader to grab all he can of other people's wealth for as long as possible, while justifying himself with self-serving illusions such as the pope provides.

Pope Francis also misled the young people by exhorting them to "download the best link of all: that of the heart, which sees and transmits goodness without growing weary."  Again, the idea that the heart transmits only goodness is humanist fallacy.  The heart is the seat of the mind.  It is the source of compassion, but it also generates discontent and envy, which are the bases of the socialism Pope Francis promotes.

Christianity perceives the heart as a throne.  When the throne is empty, as this Pope seems to envision it, following the heart can do as much harm as good.

Christ said He had not come to change the law and that His followers should obey the law of the land as the practical beginning of clearing a path to Him.  Pope Francis seems to say break the law to get what you want.  And to Christ, we can redistribute what we want without Your help.  So take your time; we are not ready for You.
