Bernie Sanders was born to Jewish parents in Brooklyn but is a "coincidental Jew."  He has no rabbi.  He dwells not on Jewish values, but on socialism with anarchic and radical spice, a union organizer who has nothing Jewish in him.

Sanders, the opportunist, recognized early that being associated with Jews is a liability.  He consistently blamed "U.S. bankers" – a synonym in the eyes of many for Jewish money handlers – as an associate of the U.S. radical left, the "Occupy Wall Street" movement, "Black Lives Matter," and BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanctions against Israel).  Anti-Israel, anti-Zionist trends of the radical left have been introduced to the Democratic Party coupled with old anti-Semitism.  But not a word about rampant anti-Semitism in the colleges of his supporters.

As Seth Mandel of Commentary magazine summarized (4/10/2016), "Bernie Sanders has made history – as a Jew. But he’ll be the last one to say so, because when socialism actually triumphs, the revolution is not beautiful, it is not quiet, it is not gentle. And it is never good for the Jews."

More, Jews who were bending backwards to downplay their coincident Jewish connections are never successful.  As Julius Streicher, the editor of the Nazi Der Stoermer wrote, even if he is not Jewish but his grandparents were "Jewish," he will always be recognized as a Jew.

While Bernie Sanders was visiting with Pope Francis and discussing "climate change" and Muslim migrants, Ivanka Trump Kushner's family was walking to their synagogue in Manhattan for the Sabbath services.  Ivanka is a Jew by choice, as she converted to Judaism. 

I am very modern, but I’m also a very traditional person, and I think that’s an interesting juxtaposition in how I was raised as well. I really find that with Judaism, it creates an amazing blueprint for family connectivity. (snip)  

From Friday to Saturday, we don't do anything but hang out with one another. We don't make phone calls. It's an amazing thing when you're so connected to really sign off. And for Arabella to know that she has me, undivided, one day a week? We don't do anything but hang out with one another, go on walks together. Pure family.

Her Hebrew name is Ya'el, a biblical heroine.  Reading the weekly readings (Parasha), in Leviticus 14, there are detailed instruction how to treat and prevent leprosy and other medical conditions.  After the "Parasha" there is the Haftarah, readings from prophets.  This week, Ya'el (Ivanka) read Malachi 3:5:

And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers; and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his right, and fear not Me, saith the LORD of hosts.

Malachi was written during the Second Temple era in 516 B.C., or 2,500 years ago. Does Sanders believe that he, only he, knows about "those that oppress the hireling in his wages"?

Two people, one a coincidental Jew and the other Jew by choice.  The first rejects Jewish teachings and feels it is legitimate for him to criticize Israel and by inference Jews.  The other is proud to be Jewish and supports the Jewish state, Israel.  One believes that he invented socialism; the other came to a conclusion that modern social justice emerged from Jewish teachings and the Hebrew Bible.
