The force is still with Darth Vader; not Lenin
Call me unAmerican if you will but I could never get this Star Wars mania thing. I saw the first movie, was mildly entertained and then moved on, never to see another. And now another one is about to be released which has many people all excited, but not me. And that's ok--to each one's own, diversity, pluralism and multi culturalism and all that. My philosophy is Star Wars doesn't bother me and I don't bother it. It's the American way.
So reading this once again confirmed my belief in the superiority of America's values for in the end, freedom wins.
'Star Wars': Lenin statue in Ukraine gets Darth Vader makeover
A statue of communist leader Vladimir Lenin has been transformed into a monument to "Star Wars" icon Darth Vader by sculptor Alexander Milov.
The shrine is a result of Ukraine's recently passed bill banning communist propaganda in the country's monuments and street names. While most communist relics will be removed or destroyed, this particular Lenin statue has been repurposed.
"The bronze Lenin was left inside, so that the grateful or not-so-grateful descendants could exhume him, if needed," Milov is quoted as saying by Ukraine Today.

Local website Dumskaya shared photos of the newly erected art piece, which now sports black paint and a WiFi-emitting Vader helmet. Fans dressed as storm troopers and Vader attended the monument's opening ceremony on Friday.
And somewhere, George Orwell is smiling. And Karl Marx and Stalin are growling. Good.
