Good for Carly!
GOP presidential hopeful Carly Fiorina was temporarily given favorable media coverage for scoring some points on Donald Trump in the last GOP presidential debate, but in recent days she’s taken a lot of heat from the pro-abortionists.
The latest: ABC News reported that “Planned Parenthood protesters threw condoms at Carly Fiorina today while she campaigned at a tailgate party for the Iowa Hawkeyes.”
And from the Washington Post:
Carly Fiorina was shaking hands and snapping photos with people tailgating outside the University of Iowa football stadium when a woman dressed as a pack of birth control pills approached her. The woman was part of a group of about 15 protesters from Planned Parenthood who came to voice their objections to Fiorina….
Fiorina assailed Planned Parenthood during campaign stops here in Iowa, calling for the organization to be federally defunded and saying that the fight to cut off the organization's money is about the character of the country. ‘They cannot deny that they are butchering babies for body parts at taxpayer expense,’ she said at a stop in Davenport, Iowa. ‘Instead they call me a liar.’
Indeed, it appears that Planned Parenthood’s primary PR plan to counteract the videos is to attack the messenger – to assert that it’s all a vast right-wing conspiracy (where have we heard that before?) to take away women’s health care.
Fiorina may have an uphill battle to win the nomination, but she deserves praise for standing her ground on this vital issue: the sanctity of human life from conception until natural death.
(It should be noted that David Daleiden, the courageous citizen-journalist who produced the videos, is facing at least two lawsuits from the abortion industry, not to mention possible action on the part of the Obama administration’s Department of Justice.)
