Donald Trump: Fighting fire with fire
It was the Atlantic Monthly, not the local media that constantly cover race, who wrote up the recent address by Jeremiah Wright to the liberal congregation of a church in Chapel Hill, NC. According to writer Clive Brook, Wright may be out of the public eye – perhaps for his line "God damn America" – but he is not backing off his demands for reparations, attacks on Barack Obama (his family call him "Halfrican"), the destruction of the "illegal" state of Israel, the death penalty, and accusing white America in general of being "structurally racist."
A large portion of American people have had a bellyful of left-wing fringe demagogues like Wright, incessantly insisting the United States has failed. The extremism of Jeremiah Wright's rhetoric, Democratic Party chairperson Debbie Wasserman-Schultz's rants, and Barack Obama's policies could be why Donald Trump is atop the Republican presidential polls.
The Donald's straight talk and loud demeanor are providing a much needed counter-punch for conservatives, weary of the faux reality screeching from the mouths of utopian left-wing demagogues into the compliant miasma of mainstream news outlets. Trump is succeeding by fighting angry left-wing fire with the fire of conservative outrage, demonstrating to the eventual GOP presidential candidate that backbone is required to shout down the Democrat progressives – and win.
Conservatives must speak up to counter the myths masquerading as political polemic, such as blaming white Americans because blacks commit the majority of crimes, remain on the bottom in educational achievement, earn less, and upset the fragile balance of a free society as beneficiaries of affirmative action and set aside contracts. The latest spate of race-caused violence, which targets policemen and women, could be considered a direct result of hate-spewing Jeremiah Wright types, who hog the microphone to be sure they keep their narrative alive.
The persistent dissatisfaction with society is the bread and butter of nearly all Democrat political manifestoes, urging people to vote for them because they can achieve a better world. The question is, better than what? The answer: better than the negative one they project constantly in dire need of their theoretical utopian solutions. The "progressive" left pretend they can perfect human nature, leading to the elimination of war and violence, income redistribution, climate change action, harmony among the races and peoples of the world, glass ceilings shattered, the U.S. neutered to avoid hegemony over the world's countries – a building block of the radical screed of multiculturalism, dominating higher education down to kindergarten.
Under Obama, the theories are his reality. He shows seemingly religious zeal to implement idealistic credos, even if it means going around checks and balances, legalities, and elected officials – from Congress down to small towns and counties – to force policies for our own good. The various czars, in concert with Cabinet secretaries, bypass the so-called will of the people and harness the power of ever-growing government bureaucracies to, dare I say it, pull off a virtual coup d'état.
