Obama offers false choice on Iran nuclear deal
Obama is the master manipulator. He presents a false choice regarding the Iranian nuclear situation as either his negotiated deal, or an uncertain war.
"Let’s not mince words: The choice we face is ultimately between diplomacy and some sort of war — maybe not tomorrow, maybe not three months from now, but soon,” Mr. Obama told about 200 people in a speech at American University. “How can we in good conscience justify war before we’ve tested a diplomatic agreement that achieves our objectives?”
By saying "Some kind of war" Obama is making it sound as if we might have to send troops into Tehran. Nothing could be farther from the truth. It would be a bombing campaign, pure and simple, of Tehran's nuclear facilities. While some might be too deep underground to hit, I'll bet we could hit the entrances to them pretty well and make sure, like closed off ant hills, they stay closed.
As part of his false choice Obama says we have to try diplomacy first. But his plan is terrible. There is no provision for snap inspections, the Iranians can go on enriching uranium, and there are suspiciously secret side agreements we are not privy too. His whole deal is little more than a face-saving mechanism for America to allow Iran to go on building nuclear weapons and for the crony capitalists who support both parties to make a buck doing business with the Nazi-tollas.
To be clear, the real choice is not between diplomacy and war, but war now or war later. War now before they have built up their stockpile of nuclear weapons and nuclear missiles, or war after they have done so.
There was another politician in an earlier time who had a similar philosophy to Obama. His name was Neville Chamberlain. He believed in keeping the peace at all cost because the consequences of "some kind of war" were too much to bear, and Hitler knew that. That's why Chamberlain acquiesed in giving up part of Czechoslovakia, proclaiming "peace in our time," much the same way that Obama is hailing his current deal. We know, of course, that there was only peace for a very short time, and the consequences of inaction made things much worse.
This statement from Obama is only the latest where he is making it clear that military power is off the table. The Iranians know that and so have no incentive at all to honor a deal. Obama is casting critics of the deal as war-mongers, but it is Obama who is setting us up for war down the road, a war more devastating with a death cult armed with nuclear weapons and ICBMS.
