Jeb attacks Trump
Jeb Bush's statements about illegal aliens have gotten so outrageous as to verge on self-parody.
Jeb Bush on Thursday condemned his rival Donald Trump for making incendiary remarks about illegal immigration.
First of all, crossing our borders without permission makes one an illegal alien, but Jeb's jaw would crack before forming those words.
“I think candidates ought to lay out proposals to solve problems rather than basically prey on legitimate fears and concerns,” Bush told reporters after speaking at a technology company.
Bush is saying that candidates shouldn't prey on...legitimate fears? But if the fears are legitimate, then they aren't being preyed on. That makes them real issues that need to be addressed!
Bush pointed to the killing this month of a woman on San Francisco's waterfront, allegedly by an immigrant who had felony convictions and had repeatedly been deported to Mexico – a case that Trump has repeatedly highlighted on the campaign trail. “The system broke down for her and her family, and you can see why people are upset about that,” Bush said.
Jeb says the system "broke down." But Jeb supports the "breakdown" of the system. He wants millions of illegals legalized en masse. He doesn't merely want sanctuary cities; he wants America to be a sanctuary country.
“I don’t think it’s appropriate as a potential president to prey on that fear, and frankly, it’s not a winning message either….”
Jeb believes that people are not concerned about illegal aliens murdering people? That's not a winning message? What strikes me here is not merely how wrong Jeb is, but how out of touch he is. He makes Hillary look like the common man by comparison! (Yes, a common man.)
"I have a big disagreement with Mr. Trump about his tone and what he’s saying because it’s not accurate."
It's not accurate to say our prisons are filled with illegal aliens? That illegals are murdering citizens? What reality is Bush living in?
Bush spoke to reporters after addressing workers at Thumbtack, an online resource that connects consumers with local businesses. “The government of the future needs to look more like Thumbtack – lower-cost, higher-quality, focused on outcomes, really committed to the citizens,” Bush said.
The government needs to be "focused on outcomes"? That's the language of someone who supports racial quotas! Jeb sounds exactly like a Democrat.
And Bush is showing more of his ignorance of the fundamental character of the nation. America was not founded to guarantee outcomes. As Mark Levin says, we are all different, with different skills and different levels of motivation. All we are promised is the chance to pursue happiness on our own. The future is what each individual makes for himself, not the government. When Jeb talks about outcomes, Jeb really sounds like a Democratic mastermind.
I struggle to understand how Republicans might nominate such a man who is so clearly sympathetic to illegal aliens, is so clearly unsympathetic to his fellow citizens, and in many ways talks like a Democrat.
