Under the category “You Can’t Make This Stuff Up,” The Independent reports today that a study which shows a fall in sun spot activity over the past few years closely mirrors what happened in the sixteen hundreds when less heat reached the earth and we experienced a "mini ice age."  Further that this phenomena will peak (or trough depending upon your point of view) at about 2050.   But that it "will not save us from global warming."

This statement from scientists is the best example seen yet of how in an effort to be seen as politically correct, perhaps to preserve their jobs or funding, they will so contort themselves they resemble the circus "Rubber Man" putting his foot in his mouth from over his shoulder.

So let's get this straight - the earth cooling will not save us from the earth warming up.
