Democrat Cohen profiles Republican Jenner

After Diane Sawyer interviewed Bruce Jenner a few weeks ago CNN breathlessly headlined

Bruce Jenner comes out ... as a Republican

I'm kind of more on the conservative side."

"Are you Republican?" Sawyer asked.

"Yeah," he said with a smile. "Is that a bad thing? I believe in the Constitution."

He added that he's thought about whether becoming a woman would be unsettling for the conservative wing of the Republican party, but told Sawyer that neither political party has a monopoly on "understanding."

Jenner also said he would go to House Speaker John Boehner and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to help promote the LGBT cause.

"In a heartbeat, why not?" He told Sawyer. "And I think they'd be very receptive to it.

As you may have heard, since the interview Bruce Jenner has transformed to Caitlyn Jenner.  So of course rattled Rep Steven Cohen (D-TENN) had to ask

Why not? In a later tweet Cohen further reveals his own prejudices.

I don't think so. But he had to ask his silly question and believe his answer of Jenner's political epiphany--or that the independently successful Jenner expects help--because obviously he can't understand that Jenner's firm political beliefs and knows that Republicans are diverse and tolerant. Unlike members from other Democratic victim groups, Jenner didn't whine about his situation, ask for sympathy, denounce those who didn't understand him or mocked him and didn't demand government compensation. And unlike the present leader of this country, Jenner "believes in the Constitution."

This complex dissonance is too much for Cohen who seems to be guilty of basic profiling. But the profilee refuses to fit Cohen's narrow profile as do Republicans. How confusing for Cohen.

So Cohen has to ask and comment because he is obviously a transgenderist! And a Republicanist! Tweet away Cohen; you are certainly living down to your profile.
