Republican candidates - still clueless about the liberal media

Since Ronald Reagan, there hasn’t been a Republican presidential candidate who has had a clue about how to deal with the liberal mainstream media.  And today’s cadre of potential Republican presidential candidates isn’t showing signs that anything has changed.

Take for instance the “If you knew then what we know now…” line of questioning by the liberal media.  Talk about not even trying to disguise their intentions!  The liberal media must be pinching themselves after actually getting answers to that line of questioning.  It’s no wonder the liberal media thinks Republicans are dumb – the wannabe Republican leaders sure seem that way.

What is baffling about this is that the only Republicans and conservatives that do have a clue about how to deal with the liberal media are the ones not running for office.

How is it that people like Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and every other conservative media type can spot a liberal media “gotcha” trap a mile away, but every potential Republican presidential candidate can’t?  Are they really that politically inept or is it something else?

Maybe it’s time for a “How to handle the media” seminar for Republicans seeking office?  And after hearing Rush Limbaugh speak to the “If you knew then what we know now…” line of questioning issue on his radio show, maybe he should seriously consider offering a seminar like that to all the Republican candidates.
