Liberals call it 'raising awareness'
When confronted about the rioting in Baltimore, liberal politicians and their media accomplices quickly changed the narrative from violence and destruction to victimization and oppression. Obviously, appearances aren’t what they seem to be when it comes to liberal groups and minorities acting out in a dangerous and destructive manner.
While most liberals will say they don’t condone violence or destruction of property, they almost never outright condemn any of those kinds of actions taken by liberal groups or minorities. Rather, most liberals find a way to justify even the most blatant acts of violence and destruction as a symptom of far greater problems concerning the specific liberal group or minority involved.
In most cases involving liberal groups and minorities acting out in an unlawful or socially unacceptable manner, liberal politicians and their accomplices in the media immediately begin laying the groundwork to spin what transpired as a “cause.” And that cause is always defined as more important than personal property or even human safety.
Once the “cause” has been defined, the perpetrators will be re-identified as victims, and everything that has transpired to that point is deemed by liberal politicians and the liberal media “raising awareness” for the cause. Interestingly, it’s only then that those who perpetrated the lawless violence and destruction can fully understand why they were doing what they were doing. Liberals will push the narrative that the lawless violent perpetrators innocent oppressed victims were acting out only because they had been pushed too far and had no other alternative as a result of their circumstances, and the community at large that ignored their plight for so long simply got what it deserved. For most liberals, in almost every case like this, the end justifies the means.
Fast-forward to what just happened at the prophet Mohammed cartoon contest in Texas, and the above scenario plays out exactly the same.
As many in the liberal media (including Bill O’Reilly) have pointed out; the perpetrators in Texas were acting out only as a result of being taunted and insulted by people they believed were maligning and trying to oppress Muslims and the religion of Islam in America. In this case, the two Muslim men’s actions are justified because they were obviously under heavy duress of Western persecution and oppression.
The victims in this case were Muslims who gave their lives for the cause of tolerance and respect for their religion – notwithstanding that unless people tolerate and show respect for Islamic sharia law and the prophet Mohammed, they will be hunted down and killed.
It seems for liberals that nothing raises awareness for a cause quite like a good riot or terrorist attack.
