America is already the Brave New World
When I read that Steven Spielberg is creating a television series based on the classic novel Brave New World, I immediately thought, "No need. We live it every day." Consider this:
o In BNW, people were kept content using a drug called "soma." In our world, the Left is pushing legalization of marijuana, first for "medicinal" purposes and then full throated legalization, as in Colorado. People like Rand Paul and Hillary Clinton are talking about releasing not only drug addicts, but drug dealers from prison, essentially legalizing the drug trade. And this is no more likely to end with marijuana as marriage is likely to stop being perverted after gay marriage is approved by our Supreme Court.
o In BNW, promiscuity was the official state policy. In our country, people are encouraged to have same-sex relations, to "change" their gender, and incest, polygamy, and pedophilia are not far behind. People who were against promiscuity in BNW were ostracized, just as people in our society who are against "gay marriage" and so-called "sex change" are starting to be (right, Indiana?).
o In BNW, children are sexualized at a young age with games like "Hunt the Zipper". In America, children are brainwashed at a young age about gay, lesbian, transgender, etc.
o in Brave New World, the concepts of family and parenting had been eliminated. By redefining marriage to mean anything, and offering welfare to give incentives to have children without fathers, our government is doing the same thing.
o In the BBC version of "Brave New World", the leader was a Black man named Mustafa Mond; our leader is a Black man named Hussein Obama.
o In BNW, everyone is assigned jobs and the government makes all decisions for them. Obama has made great strides in taking control of energy, healthcare and other aspects of the economy that used to reside in the free market.
o In BNW, people who believed in science were threatened with "reprogramming"; in our world, anyone who believes in science when it comes to topics like global warming are labelled as kooks.
o In BNW, consumption was the #1 priority. In our society, government spending to spur consumption is the #1 priority.
o In Brave New World, there were classes of society labeled "A" "B" "C" "D" and "E", with E being the lowest. It was supposed to be a meritocracy. We don't have a meritocracy, but we do have classes of citizens. The most virtuous, the "A's", are not even formally citizens at all, but illegal aliens. The "B's" are rioters, radical Muslims, feminists, and militant gays and transvestites. The "C's" are the people on welfare, and the D's and E's at the bottom, you guessed it, are you, the taxpayer.
The only thing we don't yet have are the tight spandex outfits that they wore in the BBC version of Brave New World. The next time you go into Macy's and see that those are the only items for sale, you'll know we've arrived.
