Will the law treat liberal actors like Christian bakers?

The recent uproar on the political left over the religious freedom laws in Indiana and Arkansas raises an interesting question.

First, to review, a religious freedom law is basically intended to protect Christians from being forced to participate in events, such as gay weddings, and from being forced to deliver messages, such a preparing a wedding cake with two men on top instead of one man and one woman.  Undeniably, such events and messages violate specific verses in the Bible and therefore violate the religious beliefs of many Christians.

Now, the question this raises is simple: if the government, as liberals are fanatically insisting, can force a Christian to participate in a gay wedding or deliver a gay message, will the government then also force liberal actors to participate in a pro-life movie and deliver a pro-life message?

Christian bakers and liberal actors are both offering a service in exchange for compensation.  Moreover, the argument that gay couples have a right to choose the finest baker for their wedding (and therefore force an unwilling baker to make a special cake with a gay message, even if other bakers are willing to do so) also applies to moviemakers who want to cast the best actors for their movie.

Do Christians (or, more broadly, religious people) have to provide their occupational services to those with whom they disagree on the content of an event or message, but not actors?  After all, liberals are adamant that this kind of "discrimination" is not only wrong, but also unconstitutional.

So if a pro-life moviemaker wants to cast Meryl Streep and Ed Harris, but Streep and Harris refuse to work in the movie, what then?

Of course, there is one flaw in this example.  In general, pro-life moviemakers have moderate budgets, and they can't afford A-list actors.

But this is only a minor flaw.  There is a Plan B.  (And liberals love Plan B!)

Tina Fey and Kevin Bacon haven't done anything decent in ages.  Just offer both of them a hundred bucks plus free Chick-fil-A over the course of the filming, and this should be more than enough to surpass any offer either of them has received lately.

Look forward to working with you, Tina.
