The Times Speeds Up the Spin
In an article that can hardly suppress the glee the Gray Lady is feeling at Obama's and the leftists' nasty and deliberate misinterpretation of what the Jew-they-love-to-hate said during his victorious electoral campaign, staffers went out of their way to parrot the president's contrived assault on Bibi Netanyahu.
One example:
On the call between the two leaders, the president also discussed the prime minister’s Election Day comments about Israeli Arabs’ going to the polls in “droves,” which were interpreted widely as an attempt to suppress the Arab vote and prompted outrage in Mr. Obama’s administration and around the world.
If anyone can explain how Netanyahu's call to his admirers to get out and vote in any way suppressed the vote of any Israeli-Arab citizen, please go ahead and do so.
Of course, what Netanyahu said about Arab voters had no intention of suppressing them – something he couldn't do if he had wanted to. Knowing that the Arab vote goes heavily toward the left, and knowing that anti-Likud forces were busing Arabs to the polls in very much the same way that labor unions like the SEIU roust out and bus to the polls voters from neighborhoods they know are likely to vote Democratic, Bibi issued a clarion call to warn conservatives that they needed to get out and vote for him, lest their failure to do so result in a leftist win.
Big freaking deal! More of an excuse for lefty anti-Israelists, ultra-liberal Jews who place their liberal élitist attitudes above the survival of the Jewish State, and the usual gang of just plain anti-Semites who use Israel as an excuse to vent their anti-Jewish spleen. to ride their hobby horse.
That the Times enthusiastically joins this croaking chorus is hardly a surprise.
