Dem rival twisting the knife in Hillary
It begins! Like a wounded gazelle on the Serengeti, the “inevitable” Democrat nominee Hillary Clinton is attracting predators. Nick Gass of Politico reports:
Former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley says if he were president, it would be important as commander in chief to have his secretary of state use the official server for business.
“Well sure, it would be important to me,” he said when asked about Hillary Clinton’s email practices at the State Department on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” but said getting the economy working would be more important.
Just in case it wasn’t perfectly clear that he was hanging Hill out to dry, he continued:
O’Malley said he didn’t “feel compelled to answer” a follow-up question about Clinton’s actions from Bloomberg Politics’ John Heilemann. “Secretary Clinton is perfectly capable of defending her own service in office,” he said.
I am starting to fear that the Dems actually will dump Hillary. There is no question in my mind that they realize what a weak, unlikable candidate, totally out of tune with the mood of the times, she is. But what I don’t know is how desperately she will cling to her lust for power as president. It could get very ugly, in which case I will lay in a supply of popcorn and enjoy the spectacle. But the worst possible outcome would be a last-minute switch to Elizabeth Warren, a candidate who requires a lot of vetting. If, for instance, Hillary were indicted (recall the lack of love between the Obama and Clinton camps) and had to withdraw, the Dems could pull a switcheroo and go with Warren, allowing precious little time to publicize her personal enrichment while claiming to fight for the little guy, her abuse of affirmative action to gain tenure at Harvard Law School, and her radical leftism.
So, O’Malley and the others: twist the knife slowly.
