Kayla Mueller and the Failure of Perspective
Kayla Mueller is dead in Syria where life is not worth a dime.
Perspective is the truth of intellect not the distortion of ideology. Flip a coin. Who is Mueller? A possible anti-Semite who was a member of the International Solidarity Movement, supporting Palestinians. She was not the greatest person. She seemed to hate the Jews.
Too many lightweights are watching television and wanting to risk their lives gloriously to be good-deed-doers.
Kayla wanted to save the lives of terrorists but ended up losing her own. If only her parents had told her that death is the result of life and that rushing into it is going naively into that good night. That Kayla should have savored life more than strangers.
It’s time we respected our own lives more. That we protected them. That we didn’t throw away the beauties of consciousness for the ego-thrill of helping foreigners who we know nothing about.
Whenever I meet an activist, I am afraid to turn my back. On one hand they are patting me on the shoulder. On the other they are stabbing me in the back because I don’t agree with their stubborn ideologies and liberal prejudices.
Am I a libertarian in international affairs? Not really. But I don’t think young girls should put themselves at risk without understanding the consequences. Leave that to the army who we too frequently criticize.
The army should be doing the fighting. The world should be compartmentalized and not questioned by neurotics without boundaries.
Liberals should stop helping those who want to kill them. Jews should stop giving money to Obama who prefers the Muslim Brotherhood to Al-Sisi and Netanyahu.
