Good news for GOP in upstate New York
New York’s 21st Congressional District is an open seat that has been held by a Democrat. The 19th District is held by the GOP, but sees a very well-funded challenger in the person of Sean Eldrige, the gay husband of Facebook billionaire Chris Hughes, a college classmate of Mark Zuckerberg and the new owner of The New Republic.
In both districts, the GOP candidates are holding comfortable leads, per Real Clear Politics:
In The 21st, Elise Stefanik, who has received much attention from Power Line, is comfortably ahead.

Governor Andrew Cuomo is expected to win re-election handily, but this time by 20 points, not 40, as last time. The GOP is showing great strength in upstate New York.
