Are Beck and Company Funding Lawlessness in the Name of Jesus?
Glenn Beck has set up Mercury One Children and Family Border Relief Fund to help illegals coming into the United States. He’s already raised $600,000.
Beck stated that Obama would not have to step in and ask for $3.7 billion if private charities would pick up the slack and give to the swarm of illegals crossing the border.
Is he kidding? Do we really need more churches and non-profits enabling this blatant attack on America?
Rich people and liberal elite billionaires have no skin in the game when it comes to the consequences of illegal immigration so what do they care?
It’s the working class and middle class who will take the hit. It’s not bad enough that Team Obama is giving illegals free rein when it comes to social services, we have to witness do-gooders on our side making public displays of their “Christ-like” behavior towards people who are breaking the law while telling us to walk in love.
How about setting up a fund for legal citizens doing the right thing? What about a 35 year-old father of three making $40,000 a year and paying taxes? How about a family unable to afford any extras? How about single men and women of all colors working two jobs to make ends meet? How about parents and grandparents helping their underemployed grandkids and children working part-time jobs?
Joe Scarborough praised Beck for following Jesus’ playbook . Erick Erickson from Redstate also chimed in urging us to show “personal and private grace” when it comes to the “troubled souls.”
Beck says we should show compassion to the newcomers by feeding, clothing and giving them shelter and then deport them ASAP. Does Beck really think a President who ignores the laws, advertises for vendors to help illegal immigrants, and laughs while he tosses our rights and sovereignty into the dustbin of history will actually process illegals only to send them packing? Obama’s sycophantic media is already using words like “migrants,” “refugees” and “unaccompanied minors” in their reports. What does that tell you? Obama has no intention of sending these illegals back.
Compassion for the down-and-out is fine, but invading a nation by the tens of thousands is an act of war. Even Joan of Arc understood the need to fight for her country’s sovereignty and St Joan was a million times more Christ-like than Beck
What really bites about all of this is the implication that those of us standing against this monstrous disregard for the law are not following Christ’s teachings. Is funding Obama’s plan to destroy this country in the New Testament? Even Pope Francis is loading on the guilt. In a message to the International Labour Conference this past May the Pope asked for “a concerted effort to encourage governments to facilitate the movement of migrants.”
Now, just two months later Obama is asking Congress for $4 billion. Where does Pope Francis think this money is coming from? We’re being forced to “facilitate” illegal immigration whether we like it or not. And the leftist liberation theologians are using Christ to tug at our purse strings. How demonic.
Then Beck comically suggests we let the government handle the “border crisis” and we take care of the “humanitarian crisis.”
What parallel, Kafkaesque string-theory universe does he live in? Our mortgage, rent, food, gas and electricity bills are piling up, our savings wiped out with sky-high healthcare premiums, and we already subsidize welfare moochers who play the system while calling us ‘racists.’ Obama has ramped up every failed socialist policy into the stratosphere and Beck thinks he and his progressive cronies will “handle” the situation at the border. No wonder Obama was laughing his head off in the photo with the Texas governor.
