Don Obama, Capo di Tutti Capi
Governor Bobby Jindal, at the recent Faith and Freedom Coalition Conference, had this to say about the much debated issue of whether Obama is deliberately undermining American power and influence or just plain incompetent:
Are we witnessing right now the most radically, extremely liberal, ideological president of our entire lifetime right here in the United States of America, or are we witnessing the most incompetent president of the United States of America in the history of our lifetimes? You know, it is a difficult question. I've thought long and hard about it. Here's the only answer I've come up with, and I'm going to quote Secretary Clinton: “What difference does it make?”
Interesting point. Focusing on that issue sidelines what really does make a difference -- how the Obama administration operates. Ben Shapiro, editor at large at Breitbart News and survivor of UCLA and Harvard Law School, calls the Obama MO, “Mafia-esque.”
Indeed, Mafia Dons have learned the hard way after RICO not to give clear cut instructions to their operatives. Obama, our Capo Di Tutti Capi, has learned his lesson well. He lets his capos -- heads of the IRS, DOJ, CIA, know how to proceed with vague injunctions that set the tone. That way he is immune from blowback and can posture publicly even against the actions he set in motion. Here is how Shapiro puts it:
The Obama administration and the executive branch in general have become a situation where you have basically somebody at the top who issues blanket statements and somebody to lower level just goes ahead it does exactly what it that he wants. There never has to be direct order from the president.
Shapiro further emphasized that this leaves the president free to fake outrage when the scandal breaks, stall with investigations and then claim it’s an old, phony scandal. To a lesser degree, his capos use the same tactic on down the chain of command.
Among Obama’s capos, Shapiro singled out Attorney General Eric Holder as “the worst criminal in the administration."
Time to RICO the whole bunch from Sibelius to Rice to Holder -- and let’s not forget his consigliore, Valerie Jarrett.
