President Obama wants you to ignore this blog
OMG! If you are reading this you are...gasp! disobeying President Barack Obama's (D) order to ignore
this blog. And others. Because they're not telling you what he wants them to tell you. Yes, that pesky Bill of Rights in the Constitution, those amendments guaranteeing freedom of speech and the press, really bother that former (non) renowned Constitutional Scholar and Professor...er, lecturer who never did anything scholarly.
Speaking to reporters in the White House celebrating the reopening of government Obama demanded...er, suggested
And now that the government has reopened and this threat to our economy is removed, all of us need to stop focusing on the lobbyists, and the bloggers, and the talking heads on radio and the professional activists who profit from conflict, and focus on what the majority of Americans sent us here to do, and that's grow this economy, create good jobs, strengthen the middle class, educate our kids, lay the foundation for broad-based prosperity and get our fiscal house in order for the long haul. That's why we're here. That should be our focus.
Of course he would request this. It was exactly by "focusing on the lobbyists, and the bloggers, and the talking heads on radio and the professional activists who profit from conflict"; especially those who disagree with the fairy tales emanating from the White House and not their kept media house plants that word crept out of the totally unnecessary--and truly spiteful--Barrycades at war memorials and other prominent sites and parks in Washington and across the country. The opposing--or those just doing their job--lobbyists, bloggers, talking radio (and television) heads and professional activists were the ones who pointed out the numerous failures of the Obamacare introduction--from the total failure of the website at all levels to the high costs of the (un)affordable insurance.
And oh, Americans don't elect the President and Congress to "create good jobs, strengthen the middle class, educate our kids." They elect them to protect our country, protect our borders, keep us safe.
Unless you work for government with its excellent pay and benefits, (btw, furloughed government workers will be paid for their lack of work, through no fault of their own, during the shutdown and are even getting a slight raise) government is not a factory to create jobs. Private entrepreneurs, from the beauty salon or gas station owner to Silicon Valley engineers create the good jobs that develop and sustain the middle class. And most wish that government would get out of their lives as it is hampering their jobs and their middle class lifestyle. For example, intrusive, punishing Obamacare. And as for the government educating our kids, most parents prefer to do that; they want the schools to teach reading, writing and arithmetic--not politically correct propaganda.
In full cognitive dissonance mode, Obama continued, whining about "the rhetoric that seems to get worse every single year. If we disagree on something, we can move on and focus on the things we agree on, and get some stuff done."
So using worse divisive rhetoric he praised Democrats and "responsible Republicans" who agreed with him while castigating
And had one side not decided to pursue a strategy of brinksmanship, each side could have gotten together and figured out, how do we shape a budget that provides certainty to businesses and people who rely on government, provides certainty to investors in our economy, and we'd be growing faster right now.
Ah yes, Tea Party Republicans with their "manufactured crises."
And so now our debt has crashed through the ceiling, ever skyward, illegal aliens are to be welcomed and preferred, and more money and government to ruin our productive agricultural system.
So now you know about this--and more disquieting information--because you didn't ignore this blog.
