Negotiating with the US's new friend, Iran

Nothing summarizes the current state of negotiations with Iran as this headline from the Washington Times: "Iran hacks Navy site as Obama negotiates with Tehran":

Iran has reportedly stepped up cyberattacks on the U.S. military. The news comes at a time when President Obama and Iranian President Hasan Rouhani communicated by phone callhttp://images.intellitxt.com/ast/adTypes/icon1.png Friday for the first time since the Carter administration.

(snip)

"Iran is very active," said James Lewis, a former State Department official and cybersecurity specialist at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, to The Wall Street Journal. "They're better than we thought."

Is the US spying on Iran?  Well, I should certainly hope so.

Are we better than they thought?

Hmmm.
