My fellow conservatives seem to be put off by the administration's trust in the American people when applying for health care subsidies via the yet-to-be established exchanges. It goes along with our unwarranted lack of trust in poorer Americans not to cheat on welfare, unemployment insurance, food stamps, disability claims, etc.

But, isn't it time we join with our liberal countrymen in extending a basic level of trust to all our fellow Americans? As a first step, I propose that we abolish the IRS and base tax collection on the honor system. Of course there may be a handful of bad apples who cheat, but I say shame on you! to all of them. There, that ought to minimize the problem.

I feel so warm and fuzzy now.
