American President Barack Obama showed his true stripes yesterday, meeting with members of his national security team to discuss the situation in Egypt where Islamist Muslim Brotherhood president Mohammed Morsi was relieved of his office by the Egyptian military because he had "insulted the presidency". Obama's Johnny-on-the-spot energy and decisiveness to express his concerns for the avowed Israel hater Morsi stand in stark contrast to his obvious hatred for the previous Egyptian ruler, strongman Hosni Mubarak, whom he shoved out of office and towards an early grave.

Why the difference in attitude and approach by Obama? Could it possibly be Morsi's obvious hatred of Israel, and Mubarak's moderate attitude?
