Michelle Obama's Alter Ego Tells Fans to Bow Down

If she could be anyone else, Michelle Obama once asserted she would be "some great singer" like Beyonce, the naughty and nice pop entertainer. But for now Michelle should be ecstatic that her favorite diva has created a video which appears to have been crafted with the First Lady in mind.

Beyonce has critics up in arms slamming her new single "Bow Down/I Been On." Simply put the song is bad, really bad. But that's not what has everyone from rad-fems to Rush Limbaugh in a tizzy. It's the lyrics commanding her fans, that mostly consist of young girls like the First Daughters, to "bow down b..tches."

Some feminists have proclaimed the song the rant of an ego-maniacal woman who poses for GQ in underwear and then fusses that men shouldn't get to define what's sexy.

Others like Beyonce's defenders went after Rush Limbaugh whom they said was misinterpreting the lyrics. They claimed Bey was not telling women to bow down before their husbands, just her. Others are insisting she's doing the video hip hop style; a genre that somehow gets a pass when it comes to misogyny.

But after I read the lyrics and watched Queen Bey being dressed by creepy courtiers in the video, it occurred to me Beyonce may be acting as Michelle Obama's stand-in. The First Lady did tell Good Morning America she "loves the singer to death."

Perhaps Beyonce is sending a message to all those critics of Michelle Obama who called her "America's Marie Antoinette."

Judge for yourself:

"I know when you were little girls
You dreamt of being in my world
Don't forget it, don't forget it
Respect that, bow down b..tches

I took some time to live my life
But don't think I'm just his little wife
Don't get it twisted, get it twisted
This my sh..t, bow down b..tches"

Did Beyonce channel the First Lady?
