Obama pardons turkeys and takes a parting shot at Romney
You stay classy, Mr. President:
Today President Obama spared the lives of two turkeys name Cobbler and Gobbler, and noted that for the first time the winners of the White House Turkey Pardon were selected through an online vote. "And once again, Nate Silver completely nailed it," said Obama. "The guy is amazing. He predicted these guys would win." Obama also made a possible reference to Mitt Romney's "gifts" comment, saying "in the spirit of the season I have one more gift to give," and ignored a reporter's shouted question about Gaza.
I can't recall a president mocking his opponent at the turkey pardoning ceremony before. This is one of the only national rituals where politics is forbidden.
But I guess such small minded men need to remind themselves of how great they truly are by belittling their opponents whenever they get the chance.
