More Liberal Intolerance
Our friends at Powerline have a couple of great pieces up today. The first, by John Hinderaker, is about Kim Kardashian. Kim Kardashian!?
If you know who Kim Kardashian is, you probably don't have a very high opinion of her. I know more than most about the Kardashians because my daughters are fans of their reality TV show...[.]If Barack Obama knew as much about business as Kim Kardashian does, or...[if he] worked as hard, he would be a much better president.
Mr. Hinderaker gives Ms. Kardashian props for"being willing to display patriotic sympathies."
Last night, she attended the Marine Corps Ball in North Carolina, as the guest of one Sgt. Gardiner. This is not a new concept...[.] Still, she seems to have rearranged her schedule to fit in the ball, and when she left, she tweeted, "Just left the Marine Corps Ball. Thanks to all of the marines I had the opportunity to meet tonight! Thank you for all that you do!"
Then"she showed, once again, that her heart was in the right place via a tweet" that said she was "Praying for everyone in Israel."
This unconscionable support for "da Jooos" immediately brought down the wrath of the ever-tolerant left:
She evidently failed to foresee how such an unobjectionable sentiment would be received by some of her millions of twitter followers. Within minutes, the predictable flood of death threats and wishes began rolling in.
Read the rest of the piece to see what she got for, first, then tweeting prayers for "everyone in Palestine and around the world," and next by deleting both tweets.
This incident is a good case study in what happens when an apolitical cultural figure innocently asserts what could be interpreted as a pro-Israel sentiment. (The same would happen if it was a pro-US or pro-Republican sentiment.) The censors of the left immediately swept down on her, much like the Guardians of Public Morals in Iran, and she speedily capitulated. Next time, she will know better than to cross them.

And that last sentence says it all: They've probably shut her, and others, up!
Brings to mind Churchill: "An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile, hoping it will eat him last."
Scott Johnson then gives us a picture you will never see elsewhere of IDF troops sheltering Palestinian kids from rockets coming down on them from theirsavage "peaceful" co-religionists dwelling in Gaza.
Mr. Johnson then follows up with a chilling video of the horrors the residents of southern Israel recently have had to endure.
However, what the world will see is more "Paliwood" from NBCABCCBSCNN-BBCPBSMSNBC and NYTIMESWAPOLATIMESGUARDIANNEWSWEEKTIME.
Bob Owens gives us the scoop here:
In every war triggered by Palestinian terrorist violence, the loyal Arab media --and by that, I mean the bulk of the MSM -- work very carefully with their Hamas media liaisons to crank out some of the most poorly faked propaganda photos and misleading captions imaginable.
Breitbart's Big Peace shows us how CNN's gullible star, Anderson Cooper, just gobbles up and spews out the garbage here (caution-autoplay).
I don't know about you, but I'm with Kim, and ta' Hell with the rest of 'em.
