Civility lessons from the left
Remember President Obama's sanctimonious words on violence and rhetoric in the wake of the shooting of Gabrielle Giffords? Well, where is the president now that a left wing talk show host has called for the "beheading" of "tea-baggers"? Using the public airwaves to spread his incitement to violence. Jack Coleman of Newsbusters reports:
Left-wing radio host Mike Malloy keeps reaching for new lows in depraved discourse.
Those familiar with Malloy from his numerous appearances at NewsBusters over the years are aware of his pathological obsession with violence, especially toward those who don't share his totalitarian politics. (h/t for audio, Brian Maloney at mrctv.org).On his radio show yesterday, Malloy delighted in the specter of an avenging angel decapitating "teabaggers" --
... these teabag bastards, who by the way, I just wish they would all go away, or like in Passover, I just wish there was an angel of the Lord that would pass over, instead of killing the first born in all the households of Egypt, just wipe out all the teabaggers. Just, you know, the terrible swift sword, just (Malloy emulates sound of sword cutting repeatedly through the air) lop their heads off.
The presidency of Barack Obama has witnessed an escalation in leftist rhetoric dehumanizing conservatives, including calls to violence, and actual violence, as with SEIU thugs.
President Obama could reverse this trend by taking moral leadwership consistent with his fine thetoric in Tucson. Instead, he ignores this incitement from his side, and speaks of voting as "revenge." No wonder gun sales are soaring.
