The 70 million who watched the debate
What do you make of the now 70 million audience estimate for Wednesday's debate? I think it means the conventional wisdom about there being few undecideds is all wet. I suspect a lot of people who either voted for Obama or sat out in 2008 are still actively seeking information because their vote is still up for grabs. I think it is also very bad news for Obama. Given how the audience for his speeches and press conferences has steadily fallen over the last four years people weren't tuning in to see him. They were tuning in to check out the alternative.
Most active Republicans I know here were well beyond "broken glass" before Wednesday. Now they are almost fired up for Romney instead of just being anti-Obama.
