Putting Obama's 'Mammogram' Lie to the Test

In the second Obama-Romney debate, Obama defended Federal funding of Planned Parenthood by claiming:

"There are millions of women all across the country, who rely on Planned Parenthood for, not just contraceptive care, they rely on it for mammograms, for cervical cancer screenings,"

This was a repeat of claims he has made before, e.g. in an interview for Glamour magazine.
As
stated elsewhere, Obama is a past master of the big lie. Whenever caught at it, he simply shrugs that he "misspoke".

He was promptly refuted by pro-life advocates such as Kristan Hawkins, the president of Students for Life, who immediately tweeted, "For the last time: #plannedparenthood doesn't do mammograms!!!!"Abby Johnson posted on Facebook: "Did Obama seriously talk about these imaginary mammograms again??" But, as with Dr. Seuss's Whos, practically nobody heard them.

Finally, Johnson and other pro-life groups, mobilizing activists by means of a Facebook event page, devised a new form of reductio ad absurdam passive resistance that even Gandhi would have been proud of.On October 18, over a thousand pro-life activists flooded Planned Parenthood sites with phone calls requesting appointments for mammograms. In every case, they were told that no PP clinic offers this service.

PP had thrown in the towel the day before, by reversing a previous claim and admitting that PP does not do mammograms - although their actual statement is cast in misleading language, with obvious intent to deceive, by saying that they perform "breast examinations" and "refer" clients for mammograms. Actually, according to LiveAction.org, over 91% of their activities are abortions.
Ready to shrug yet, Mr. President?
