No picketing allowed in front of Mayor Emanuel's home
Chicago, where Saul Alinsky lived and trained his acolytes, has seen more than its share of demonstrations in front of homes of chief executives. But now that Chicago's teachers are on strike, well, some animals are more equal than other animals.
From a local Chicago news blog, the Wells Park Bulldog:
At Courtney [should be Courtenay - ed.] School, located across the street from Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel's home, teachers were told by police they could not picket the mayor's home. Teachers from nearby Ravenswood and Lake View said they had either joined the Courtney protesters or would soon.
