Iran says 'students' occupied British embassy in support of '99%'

Curiously, 4 days after a mob of "students" attacked and sacked the British embassy in Tehran, a letter has magically appeared from these same "students" proclaiming that the embassy was "occupied" in solidarity with the 99%.

The official Iranian news agency:

"We have occupied the British embassy to voice support for the 99 percenters of the world and in opposition to the policies of the world arrogance," the letter said on Saturday.

"We as the students who have occupied the British embassy in Tehran announce explicitly that we are standing for our historical decision and will humiliate Britain and make it regret," it added.

The Iranian students called on the students, elites and truth-seeking people across the world to attack the interests of Britain in their region and stop London from looting their countries and nations any further.

Thousands of university students who were angry at Britain's growing hostilities towards Iran occupied the British embassy for a couple of hours Tuesday night in a show of protest to London's inimical stances and to demand a full cut of ties with Britain.

This is not what the Iranian leadership was saying a few days ago. The "moderate" former president Ayatollah Katami called on worshippers on Friday to add "Death to Britain" to their chants of "Death to America" and "Death to Israel."

And Speaker of Parliament Ali Larijani said the embassy attack was "an understandable outpouring of anger at decades of "domineering policy" by Britain."

No mention of OWS solidarity - until the Brits kicked the Iranians out of England. Now they are condemning the attack with Katami doing a breathtaking 180 and saying that the assault was "illegal.

I kind of liked it better when they were aping the occupy movement.
