Chris Christie slams 'bystander in the White House'
New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, a brilliant rhetorician, has done it again, cutting through the media cloud around President Obama, providing memorable and telling terminology for his failure to lead on spending. Justin Sink in The Hill's Blog Briefing Room:
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie ripped President Obama for the failure of the debt supercommittee calling the president "a bystander in the Oval Office" in comments Monday.
"I was angry this weekend, listening to the spin coming out of the administration, about the failure of the supercommittee, and that the president knew it was doomed for failure, so he didn't get involved. Well then what the hell are we paying you for?" Christie said in Camden, N.J. "It's doomed for failure so I'm not getting involved? Well, what have you been doing, exactly?"
Whoever gets the GOP nomination would do well to regularly speak with Governor Christie about Obama and the Democrats. The man knows how to cut through the bull and get to the essence in commonsense terms. No wonder Ann Coulter, another brillaint rhetorician, is such a fan. Christie's rare gift is an invaluable asset to the campaign.
