Obama's Brain Valerie Jarrett Says Pass Jobs Plan 'Right This Minute'

The President and his trusted "consigliere for life"[i] Valerie Jarrett, are promoting a sequel to the 2009 flop 'Stimulus I.' During an un-presidential temper tantrum last Thursday, Obama demanded another half a trillion dollars in order to finance Stimulus II.  If the Republican controlled Congress goes along with this new ploy they may have what columnist Michelle Crouch calls a "money disorder." "Repeatedly giving money to an adult child who is not learning from his mistakes" is a sure sign congressional representatives have a problem. When will they figure out Jarrett and Obama have been at this for a long time?

Appearing on MSNBC'S Rachel Maddow Show, Jarrett stated the President will take his traveling stimulus show on the road. This will be his third major tour in less than 3 years.

The president plans to do a full-court press with the American people. So, he'll be in Virginia tomorrow. He'll be in Ohio next week. As he said this evening, he intends to take this message all over the country.

Lynn Sweet from the Chicago Tribune once dubbed Jarrett "the other side of Barack's brain"[ii] and Michelle Malkin pointed out in her book Culture of Corruption "the Obamas don't make a move without Jarrett."  So it's understandable Valerie's rhetoric on Maddow's show sounds exactly like her longtime partner.

There is nothing more important to the president right now than getting our economy going, putting people back to work, putting a little extra money in the pockets of folks who are struggling as they face this tough, tough economic time.

And I think the message that he made very clear tonight is the Congress should pass this plan and they should do it right this minute, and that it's fully paid for... There are certain things that Americans expect their government to do. Our infrastructure is vitally important. Putting people back to work with construction is important. Our roads, our bridges, our sewers, our waterways, our dams -- this is what makes our country so special.

Everything I'm describing to you, Rachel, is a part of the American Dream. It's a part of the fabric.

Funny Jarrett should mention "sewers," "infrastructure" and the American Dream. The Chicago millionaire's resume includes a lucrative stint as a multigenerational slumlord who turned two Chicago communities dreams into nightmares.  Obama's and Jarrett's record of helping themselves to government largesse for over two decades was in evidence prior to his November 2008 election.

Boston Globe's Binyamin Applebaum wrote a 2008 eye-opening expose of Chicago's Grove Parc Plaza, a distressed 504-unit Section 8 complex built in 1990. Barack Obama represented the area as a state senator for eight years. Grove Parc's management company was run by Valerie Jarrett who got rich while tenants lived with raw sewage, rat infestation, lack of heat and crumbling walls. According to Applebaum, wealthy developers like Tony Rezko and corrupt managers like Jarrett raked in millions while ignoring concerns from tenants. Obama claimed he never knew about the conditions at Grove Parc.

But a Globe review found that thousands of apartments across Chicago that had been built with local, state, and federal subsidies -- including several hundred in Obama's former district -- deteriorated so completely that they were no longer habitable.

Grove Parc and several other prominent failures were developed and managed by Obama's close friends and political supporters. Those people profited from the subsidies even as many of Obama's constituents suffered. Tenants lost their homes; surrounding neighborhoods were blighted.

Jarrett is the chief executive of Habitat Co., which managed Grove Parc Plaza from 2001 until this winter and co-managed an even larger subsidized complex in Chicago that was seized by the federal government in 2006, after city inspectors found widespread problems.

Grove Parc Plaza serves as a cautionary symbol to the Republican establishment. The complex stood near a site slated for the doomed 2016 Chicago Olympics Stadium. The uninhabitable housing development received an 11 out of a 100-point scale after a routine 2006 federal inspection and was demolished this past year.

Valerie Jarrett's Habitat Co. managed another much larger housing complex, Lawndale Restoration in West Chicago around the same time as Grove Parc. Lawndale accrued 1,800 building violations in 2006. The city foreclosed on the property but not until a group of residents led by Paul Johnson rallied against the Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate in 2004, Barack Obama. Obama's ties to Habitat were well known which prompted Johnson to ask "how didn't he [Obama] know? Of course he knew. He just didn't care."

How many squandered trillions will it take for Congress to stop financially enabling the Jarrett-Obama team?  If Congress must be the adults then it has to own up to its money disorder problem and tell the president and Valerie "you need to grow up, you can't have any more money."
