The Trojan Elephant
Jon Huntsman has been an announced candidate only two days, but if the surprises keep coming the liberal media will be hard put to save the candidate they favor to run against Obama. Libs love him because they figure he's the Republican most easily defeated by their beloved One in the general election. But...Verum Serum has surfaced a Global Climate Solutions Declaration that proclaims this.
Based on conclusive scientific evidence, we recognize that global climate change is a grave threat to our people, our environment, and our respective ways of life. Therefore, we resolve to act quickly to stabilize the atmospheric concentrations of greenhouse gases to avoid the resulting catastrophic impacts to the world's ecosystems, oceans, water supplies, infrastructure, food production, and human health. The magnitude and urgency of the challenges in stabilizing the climate will require an unprecedented level of collaboration and cooperation among all levels of government around the world.
Guess who, among others, signed that virtual Pledge of Allegiance to Anthropogenic Global Warming? Well, one was Jon Huntsman, Governor of Utah. Among the other guvs were Kathleen Sebelius D-KS, Deval Patrick D-MA, Rod Blagojevich D-IL, Jennifer Granholm D-MI, David Paterson D-NY, Ted Kulongoski D-OR, Christine Gregoire D-WA, Jim Doyle D-WI, Bill Ritter D-CO and Martin O'Malley D-MD. But wait, you say, surely some Republican governors signed as well; surely Jon didn't act alone. There were indeed two RINO's: Arnold Schwarzenegger of California and Charlie Crist of Florida, whose political fortunes have already taken the trajectory Jon's is about to.
That eye-opener, combined with Huntsman's flip-flop in an interview with TIME makes this a real knee-slapper, while bringing his honesty into question as well. Jon tries to dodge the TIME question by making it seem he signed the declaration five years ago when he knows full well it was only half that. As if that weren't enough, Jon's admired by no less than lefty Tim Egan of the New York Times which should be enough to be the kiss of death.
Harry Reid loves him. According to one report, the Huntsman family made sizable donations to Reid's campaign so he's just returning the Huntsman family affections. Can you see now why the liberal media so want Jon Huntsman to become the Republican candidate? On the debate stage what would he and Obama do other than mirror each other's policies and political wisdom in a faux forum where the libs are counting on Jon to come in a sorry second? If you want a true choice between two totally different candidates in the general election then you'd best start doing whatever you can to ensure that it's Rick Perry debating Obama, not Jon Huntsman, this Trojan Elephant,.
