Carter says US withholding food from NoKos a 'human rights violation'

I am thinking we should plug Jimmy Carter into global temperature models. He's so predictable no doubt he would improve the functioning of them.

Politico:

Wrapping up his visit this week to Pyongyang, former President Jimmy Carter says relations between North Korea and South Korea are "currently at rock bottom." Nonetheless, he said he believes the North is committed to getting talks underway.

[...]

Carter said Thursday at a press conference in Seoul that North Korean officials had "expressed deep regret ... for the loss of life" from two military attacks against South Korean targets in late 2010. But they did not apologize and suggested that they wouldn't, the former president said.

South Korean President Lee Myung-bak has said that he would agree to talks with Kim, but only if the North apologizes and takes responsibility for the attacks.

Carter also used his trip to North Korea to observe the country's food rationing system. That the United States and South Korea have chosen "to deliberately withhold food aid to the North Korean people because of political or military issues not related is really indeed a human rights violation," he said.

Jimmy Carter is a walking, talking human rights violation. He is violating the right of the entire world to be rid of this meddlesome twit and his pious moralizing. No mention by Carter of how Kim and his gangsters brutally oppress their own people, making them into the most regimented, fearful, hopeless nation in the world. Instead, he takes his own country to task for not giving food aid that would end up in the hands of the military, not ordinary people.

Send him to Iran to negotiate with the mullahs. With any luck, they'll take him hostage and demand a lifting of sanctions in return for his release.

That won't be necessary. A few weeks of listening to this horrific bore will drive the Iranians crazy and they'll kick him loose and beg us to take him back.
