There's no crying in politics, right?
Please deliver us from the lachrymose!
Seemingly, not a day goes by when some silly politician is not weeping about something. While we've been spared the Boehner blues for several weeks, our only Muslim congressman, Keith Ellison, could not hold back the tears when imagining that a fellow Muslim was not sufficiently praised by a grateful country in the aftermath of 9-11.
Besides generals, there is only one other class of public figure that regularly performs without welling up: women politicians. Michelle Bachman and Sarah Palin might make the liberal establishment wail hysterically, but they are always quite composed, whatever the subject.
Let's man up, as Sharon Angle might say.
