Outrage for a slaughtered turkey but none for slaughtered children?

Remember when Sarah Palin was interviewed at the turkey farm?  Do you recall seeing the turkey slaughtered right behind her?   Can you recollect how the media replayed the scene over and over and over, blurring out the image of the turkey because it was "too gory" for viewers to look at?  Described as "stomach churning, grisly, gruesome, painful to watch, inhumane," etc., the media and the blogosphere went absolutely nuts over it.

Morning news shows had entire segments on it.  Nightly talk shows made it the topic of discussion with their "panels."  The youtube video had at least one million hits.  Every liberal news source and every liberal celebrity put in their two cents' worth every chance they got.  It was a HUGE deal and all of their voices were raised in outrage at the atrocity that was committed on that poor turkey.

So, where were those voices this week when the news came out about the
abortion doctor (baby killer) in Pennsylvania?   Where was their outrage?  Where were the liberal folks' blogs on how stomach churning, grisly, gruesome, painful, inhumane, etc. this man's deeds were?  Did the morning news shows condemn him like they did Sarah Palin?  Did The View ladies berate and deride that man for his actions-stabbing tiny little human beings with scissors, snipping their spinal cords, or using whatever means necessary to end their seconds-long lives?

On Joy Behar's show, did her sneering, snarling panel rant and rave their disgust at those reports or is the disgust reserved only for Sarah Palin?  Did Madonna raise her voice at a concert and curse the doctor?   How many celebrities have you seen putting in their two cents' worth in condemnation of this baby killer?  Oh wait, what am I thinking?  Apparently a baby's life isn't worth two cents.  It seems that the life of a turkey is worth more than countless numbers of little babies who were murdered at this man's hands.

The grand jury
report detailing the charges against this man will most likely never be read by the people who are prominent on the television or internet.  Their voices will be strangely silent. Sadly, this man is only one of God knows how many others who perform the same vile, horrendous act.  Those who do not lift their voices and speak out against this crime against humanity, may as well have participated in the killing themselves.

Last night I got to hold my new nephew, born 4 weeks early.  Sitting in that NICU , looking at his tiny little face, touching his perfect little hands and feet, marveling at his spunk, I thought about the millions of babies who never had the chance to fight for life.  I thought, "Mankind has reached the absolute depths of corruption and depravity if it can without conscience or afterthought, kill something this precious."

The blood of the innocents has made its way into the earth...and the earth itself is crying out for redemption and recompense on their behalf.   And I am crying out, too.
