Of Loose Lips and Deadly Quips...
While the liberal media and the leftist moonbats of the blog world are trying to hang the criminal actions of another demented mass murderer on American conservatives and Republicans because of supposedly irresponsible things said and written, they should pause and consider that one of their own, a liberal Democrat congressman, Paul Kanjorski, considered a close friend of both Barack Obama and Bill Clinton, had this to say in a newspaper interview back in October, shortly before he got his butt kicked out of office after 26 years as a Pennsylvania prince of pork:
"That Scott down there that's running for governor of Florida," Mr. Kanjorski said. "Instead of running for governor of Florida, they ought to have him and shoot him. Put him against the wall and shoot him. He stole billions of dollars from the United States government and he's running for governor of Florida. He's a millionaire and a billionaire. He's no hero. He's a damn crook. It's just we don't prosecute big crooks."
American Thinker ran a piece just four days before this shooting about this careless use of the language by a recently defenestrated member of congress regarding another elected official, noting then that it had been ignored by the liberal media. And while author, Rick Moran, correctly noted that no one really believes the congressman was calling for an assassination or execution, he pointed out that a conservative making such a careless statement would be in big trouble. Four days later, the liberal media proved the truth of Moran's observation.
Every conservative and every Republican should print that interview from the Scranton Tribune and carry it in his pocket. Every time some lib starts blowing off about the irresponsibility of conservative speech and the resultant effect on the mentally unstable, it should be taken from the pocket and crammed down the offending liberal throat.
Hold on - I'm not advocating physical violence. I'm just being careless with the language ...like liberal, Democrat, Congressman Kanjorski.
And if the lefty moonbats are correct about the cause and effect between vitriol and violence, Governor Scott of Florida should be entitled to round the clock security paid for by the Democrat National Committee for the next four years.
