Black love?
Somebody's not getting the message.
The new issue of Ebony magazine is entitled "Celebrate Black Love."
St. Paul, a credible source, describes love as patient, kind, not jealous or boastful, not arrogant or rude, bearing all things and hopeful. Nowhere does he say love is black.
More topical to our observance today of MLK's legacy, we should recall that he dreamt of a day when:
...little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls and walk together....
Love is arguably the most ubiquitous thing in the universe.
The one thing love is most decidedly not, is black (or white, brown or yellow). Ebony or Martin Luther King, we all have to make the choice.
Somebody's not getting the message.
