Best wishes to Steve Jobs
Best wishes for improved health to Steve Jobs of Apple who is going on a "medical leave of absence" according to an Apple press release reproduced in the Wall Street Journal. .
At my request, the board of directors has granted me a medical leave of absence so I can focus on my health. I will continue as CEO and be involved in major strategic decisions for the company.Whatever you may think of them, their products, their companies, Apple and Jobs, Microsoft and Bill Gates and all the others exemplify the best of the free market system--the freedom to create and innovate which results in new products and ideas ll the while creating new wealth instead of shuffling around the same old wealth that improve and change life mainly for the better for so many people.I have asked Tim Cook to be responsible for all of Apple's day to day operations. I have great confidence that Tim and the rest of the executive management team will do a terrific job executing the exciting plans we have in place for 2011.
I love Apple so much and hope to be back as soon as I can. In the meantime, my family and I would deeply appreciate respect for our privacy.
Hopefully the new medical discoveries will help Steve Jobs.
