Another Sore Loser Coming?
From the sports pages comes this hint that Wisconsin Democrat Senator Russ Feingold may be getting a little touchy about being in the unexpected position of trailing in the polls. His latest ad uses an infamous clip from a Green Bay Packers game as the Senator claims challenger Ron Johnson is gloating. Feingold did not ask the NFL for permission to use the clip of then Minnesota Viking Randy Moss's infamous fake mooning of Green Bay fans after a touchdown.
The NFL is flagging Sen. Russ Feingold's latest ad for using an unauthorized clip of Randy Moss pretending to moon the Green Bay crowd in 2004.NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said today the league did not license the footage and has contacted the Democratic senator's campaign about removing it.
The ad is here
The volatile Moss had an excuse of sorts as Green Bay fans are known to moon for real the visiting team bus. He also was fined $10,000 by the NFL. What Russ's excuse? All I could think while watching is that should Johnson's lead in the polls hold until Election Day, Feingold is going to be a sore loser.
