Another great campaign ad
This election is different, and some GOP contenders seeking to unseat Democrat liberals are cutting through the usual political blather and talking seriously to voters. Case in point: Joe Walsh, running in Illinois 8 (north and west suburban Chicago) to unseat Rep. Melissa Bean.
I find this sort of talk exciting because it is respectful of voters, and calls out the unseriousness of the Democrat relying on the usual scare tactics. Voters know that we face a crisis, and many are not willing toi rely on old chiches about issues that have nothing to do with Congressional responsibilities.
I am not aware of any polling on this specific race, but Bean, who won by a comfortable margin in 2008, a wave election, initially won office in 2004 with just 52% of the vote.
